The City of Starkville Implements Curfew


In the City of Starkville, there shall be a general curfew from 10:00 P.M to 5:00 A.M. except for Essential Travel or Essential Activities as those terms are defined in the Governor’s Executive Order 1466.  This curfew shall become effective April 7, 2020, at 10:00 P.M.  This curfew will expire on April 20, 2020, to align with Executive Order 1466.  If the Governor extends the Shelter in Place, this curfew shall also extend to be consistent with it.

This resolution also requires businesses, agencies, and units of government located within the City of Starkville to take all reasonable measures to ensure that such businesses comply with the CDC and the Mississippi Department of Health recommendations and guidance.

Penalties for Violation of this Resolution

An additional Oktibbeha County curfew remains in effect for the next 30 days running from 10 p.m. - 5 a.m.
